White Christmas Movie plot

Bob Wallace (Crosby) and Phil Davis (Kaye) are army buddies from World War II who have become a very successful song and dance team. They meet up with Betty (Clooney) and Judy (ellen) Haines, the sisters of another of their army buddies at a nightclub in Florida. Phil sees that Bob is attracted to Judy, so he talks Bob into following the girls to their next show; an inn in Vermont. When they get to the inn, it is practically empty because there is no snow. As they start to leave, the men learn that the innkeeper is their beloved former commanding general from World War II. They decide to stay to try to drum up some business for the old man. They bring their whole show up to the inn which helps, but is not quite enough. Betty mistakenly thinks that Bob and Phil are taking advantage of the general's misfortune to get free publicity, so she gets angry at him. Judy and Phil think that Betty is upset because she is afraid to fall in love with Bob because she has to look after Judy, so Judy and Phil pretend to get engaged. Betty leaves for New York to get away from Bob. When the general's request to rejoin the army is denied, Bob goes on national TV to get the men from his World War II division to surprise the general on Christmas Eve. Betty sees the show, and realizes Bob really is a good guy so she returns to Vermont to participate in the big show. One of the all time best feel good Christmas movies with some truly amazing song and dance numbers. (imdb)

Let me start of by making some of you feel a little better about buying a major purchase online. I was very skeptical about having this delivered safe and on-time, but the $400+ I was saving from BB, CC & other local retailers was enough to swing me. I bought my PN50A550 from Amazon on Wed. 4/16 for $1849.98. CEVA had picked it up by the end of the day and had it on its way to me. 

I called CEVA on Friday 4/18 at about 4:00pm and they told me the TV had arrived on the dock that morning. I'm not sure when they had planned on calling me to sched. delivery, but since they were more than friendly I ignored that minor gripe. They offered to deliver it Saturday, but my sched. was full, so i opted for Monday b/n 11-3. 

Sure enough they arrived at 11:01, carried it in my house, unpacked it, took the time to set it up, make sure everything worked and was in good condition and could not have left me happier. 

Since DirecTV never showed up the same day for their dish and receiver upgrade, I cannot comment on the HD picture as of yet, but i will be sure to post my views on the TV once they do. SD looks better than expected though; for what it's worth. And the set-up menu is easy to navigate and very descriptive. The remote has large buttons that all illuminate and the manual is very well written. It has everything you should need to know and not a lot of what you dont. 

One more thing...since i placed my order, Amazon has twice since lowered their price. However, i simply called in to their C.S. and they were more than happy to credit my the difference both times. I believe i have 90days that they will protect their price. Thank you Amazon...you definately came through with flying colors. 

 HD finally hooked up and the picture quality is MIND BLOWING! Spent hrs watching discovery and animal planet. Can't wait to get ps3, although I can't imagine being much happier. 

Stop shopping right now...trust me, you will be happy with this plasma! Plenty of settings available if you are in to tweeeking the pq. Blacks are exactly what i was looking for. No IR, loud noises or extreme heat. The sound is good enough that you don't notice they are TV speakers. Using the CNet settings, although movie mode is pretty close out of the box. Honestly, the only complaint i have is that i waited as long as i did to decide on this one.

The pregnant man who gave birth to a daughter earlier this year is expecting a second child, according to US reports.

Thomas Beatie, a married man who used to be a woman, said he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after the birth of Susan on June 29 so he could have another baby.

n April, while he was expecting baby Susan, Mr Beatie told US daytime TV queen Oprah Winfrey: "I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn't define who I am. It's not a male or female desire to want to have a child, it's a human desire. And I'm a person and I have the right to have my own biological child."

In my opinion all this is kind of stupid, and its just nonsense, he/she is not really a man internally but just a transgender woman who can of course have children.

Aparently yes.

A California research and development team placed the company Allerca in a special stance to bring out the world's firstly scientifically proven hypoallergenic cats.

The glycoprotein, Fel d 1, released by the fatty glands, is the major cat allergen. This allergen is detected in the fur, spittle, pee, mucose, salivary glands, and hair routs of the cat. The Fel d 1 gene existing in typical cats is responsible for the production of this protein.

Starting with proprietary genetic trying engineerings, This California Company started by centering on the specific gene that farms the Fel d 1 glycoprotein. The procedure utilizes gene sequencing to find rare naturally occurring genetic discrepancies in cats. 

Then pointing those divergencies that could potentially produce kittens with a shift in the structure of the Fel d 1 allergen produced by the gene. Using sophisticated software to wield cat procreation programs, the final stage leaved behind in cats with a distinct gene that  produces a variant version of the Fel D 1 protein that the human body does not acknowledge as an allergen - and you have an hypoallergenic cats that no longer sparks the autoimmune system of people allergic to cats.

So if you love cats but suffer cat allergy you can get one of this new hypoallergenic cats if you have several thousand dolars extra to buy your pet, because the cheaper ones are on the 2,ooo dolar range and they can go up to more than 10,000 for the new breeds.

So not so good news for us regular people, maybe in a feew years hypoallergenic cats will be accesible to everyone.
